The sfp modules 10g is an enhanced SFP+ fiber optic transceiver with dual LC connector supporting transmission at 10 Gb/s up to 150m over OM3 multimode fiber (MMF) cable using a wavelength of 850nm. Digital diagnostics monitoring (DOM) functionality (alarm and warning features) is integrated into the design via an I2C serial interface per the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) SFF-8472.
