The small form factor pluggable module 112g is an enhanced QSFP28 fiber optic transceiver with dual LC connector supporting transmission at 100/112 Gb/s over 40 kilometers of single mode fiber. The transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE-ER4 Lite and OTU-4 standard. Digital diagnostics monitoring (DOM) functionality (alarm and warning features) is integrated into the design via an I2C serial interface per the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) SFF-8636.
